The EMG Toolbar is a free add-on module for ORIGIN, providing a user-friendly interface for EMG and associated signals (force, torque, kinematic data ...) analysis. It can be downloaded at OriginLab's File Exchange.
Latest version is now an App and is optimized for Origin 2016 and newer. For older Origin version, you can get the former EMG Toolbar v4.2 here.

The EMG Toolbar features:

  • one click signal integration, RMS and spectral analysis within mouse-placed limits or over automatically detected intervals,
  • fast highpass and lowpass filtering,
  • fast spectral analysis,
  • point and click synchronization between data from different sources,
  • point and click normalization of signals (automatic and custom),
  • ON-OFF detection with multiple methods,
  • ensemble averaging (enveloppes of cyclic data), on the fly or based from any cyclic data,
  • detailed help file.

When reporting/publishing results obtained using the EMG Toolbar, it is good practice to cite it having been used.
